People probably found the bones of dinosaurs and made up legends about them. I think that's how the legend of the cyclops came to be, ever see an elephant skull? Arrange them into a human-ish form and presto...cyclops skeleton.

Haha, yeah. My first meeting as a boy scout many moons ago we played dodgeball and one of the older kids (who played football) hit me square in the mug with one of those balls.

I'm not talking about censoring anything. I'd just like to see a change in society's opinion on someone who is overweight. I know it will never happen, I'm not stupid. We will always be the joke. But it would be nice to be a bit more understood. We are not lazy, we are not disgusting, we are not slobs...but people will never see that. We will always be seen as just a gross fatty.
Before anyone says so, not everyone is like that, but by and large society will never see us as real people.

I think it should be treated like an addiction. We always want to help people addicted to drugs or alcohol but if it's food the person is regarded as simply lazy and disgusting. Food can stimulate the same parts of the brain as drugs.
But if we did that then us fat people wouldn't be the societal punchline nearly as much and that's no fun.

I was born in '75 and we had those things too. Another thing we had was a projector that used a roll of film and a seperate record player (who remembers vinyl?). The film was advanced 1 frame at a time manually and 1 student was tasked with rolling the film everytime the record would ping.

The jaws of life is commonly referred to as the Hurst Tool. If I have my history right, Hurst (popular for car transmission shifters) designed the hydraulic tool in the 60's for NASCAR.

@unklethan Hah. You are probably right. Obviously I meant regarding first responders. The same goes for unaccompanied minors and people with altered mental status but we always try to have police with us on the rig for cases like that. Especially with a female patient and male EMT situation.

It can't go back up the tube, the water flows down around the rim into the commode and when the weight of the water overcomes the trap it flushes. There is no real connection from poopoopeepee water to the tank.
