If you want to support the LGBTQ community, then posting jokes with gay slurs, jokes where gay equals bad is not the way to do it. If you and your bestie want to joke, that's fine, but this is a public forum and obviously LGBTQ FunSubstance members have an issue with it. And they are getting down voted for saying that. Which is interesting.

If they didn't think the joke was homophobic, they wouldn't be downvoting you and Sav for pointing it out. Unless they really are homophobic and went after the two gay people who dared speak out on this and down thumbed you. It's very interesting that the only people downvoted so low are gay.

Okay, I apologize for misunderstanding you, and lumping you in with others- I assumed when you spoke of being tired of Song and Saviour and didn't mention the dig at him, you'd been involved with there recent post conversations where many hate slurs had been thrown and a thread nearly identical to this came up saying people who were offended by them were ruining FunSubstance. I apologize again, and absolutely agree- attacks on race, gender identity, sexual identity, etc. don't belong here.

So you're against all the so called "dark humor" posting that's been happening around here, the ones that are bashing people of color, gays, and rape survivors? And you would condemn the post from the guest above where he called Songofthewhitestag a fag?

Same as you guys. We can't have our dark humor posts with the fagtasticness bashing therein without people getting all butthurt and stuff. Like the nwords that they talk about, or the queers-- sometimes even a black queer, and the butthurtness is off the scale!!! Why must you be persecuted by their want not to be persecuted? They are obviously discriminating against your rights to discriminate.

Preach on, guys. If you aren't even able to call blacks Niggers and talk about them loving some watermelon and fried chicken (not to mention rape, amirite?) without those uppity black people getting upset with you and saying crazy things like "You don't have the right to attack me based on my race, what gives you the right to call me and mine these things?" I don't even know what the world is coming too. Can't even call a man a nigger or a gay a fag without being attacked and oppressed.

That is more of an insult to men then it is to women. Do you assume men are so weak that they lose control upon seeing a woman with a few more inches of skin shown? That they are sharks or wolves that are wired to attack?

Technically all the different cultures & races were being hunted for extinction by the fear and ignorance of people. So it's ignorance, not some plot that always perpetrated fear, hatred, and violence. Which is especially important to note on this thread.

You don't notice how the ribcages of the women in the top have been smoothed out by Photoshop? Look for it in the upcoming spring/summer season- models are made to be super thin to fit the 'look' that is desired, but the more 'unpleasant' side effects- the boney shoulders, sharp hip bones, the jutting ribs- are smoothed away like cellulite. Look for yourself, it's everywhere.

Aren't you lucky you have lived a life where you can see racism as funny. When you laugh at racism, you are saying you find it funny- which should be obvious. Not everyone finds it funny. Least of all those of use who it's directed at.

If you find racist humor funny, that is on you. Call me ignorant or sensitive all you want. I've been called a nigger enough time where this isn't funny to me, and it wouldn't be to others who have experienced it or could empathize, either. But laugh it up.

As a black woman, I am 0% percent surprised that you wouldn't speak up against racism if it doesn't affect or offend you, and also not shocked at the people who are defending the right to be racist. I am really glad to see people who aren't supporting this with their words, actions, or silence- even those who aren't directly affected by it.

Yeah, I am sure you can find 1000+ people still whistling Dixie, pulling for segregation, and waving around their confederate flags too. That doesn't mean I'll trust their opinion or share their humor. Good for you if you do, though, all the better that we know. You have a wonderful day too :)
