I do believe that the other guests commenting are struggling to make the first point invalid. They fail to see that they must use their vocabulary and rules of American grammar to prove that point wrong. I wish they'd close their mouths because their patriotism does blind them and cause them to mutter words of stupidity. I sincerely apologize for the actions of my fellow Americans.
Really when people make fun of Americans, I wonder what group they mean, do they mean the Rednecks, immigrants or Native Americans America is very diverse. California is the most diverse place on Earth so much that 1 out 4 residents were born in another country. So next time you want to make fun of Americans be more specific.
I don't know about the fat/ loud/ rude, but the education is pretty bad. Especially in geography. And before you all come complaining, i literally saw once in a documentary on glaciers how whoever made it thought that one of argentina's biomes was a country itself...
I disagree. Our funding? You've got to be kidding me. Especially in my state, the teachers have get one of the lowest pays in the country. And our stupid teenagers who don't want school are shockingly a minority (wow who would've thought). A lot have given up because they're left behind in the curriculum and can't keep up while others are still trying but can't meet the standards. We have ok schools but it has many holes. Don't even get me started with the colleges. I want to stay semi polite.
And I heard american think (not sure about this) us aussies say "shrimps on the barbie" we don't call the shrimp (unless they are small) we call them prawns.

The flag is backwards on uniforms when we are at war.
I'm Mexican and I don't think Americans are as bad as Google shows them. It's just a stereotype based on the few americans the media shows, in fact, I think Americans are great.
Sadly though, a lot of Americans hate Mexicans, i do not, but for some reason, everytime a mass immigration to the US happens, we pick on the new ones, happened with the Italians, Irish, an now the Mexicans
I kind of understand that "natives" don't like other people to live in their country and I know the hate will disappear sooner or later.
I don't live in the US so it might help my point of view about Americans but, you know... As long as there is people like you, America is always gonna be a great place with great people.
I think the main reason Americans hate Mexicans is because the illegal aliens come to our country and take our jobs, but not all Americans hate Mexicans and not all Mexicans are bad.
They are not taking anyone job..they are willing to do any works that developed countries peoples not want to do,no matter how hard, and they grab every opportunity that they see..developed countries peoples are spoilled & pampered, especially in their own country.You will change your mentality when you feel the pressure in their life, to survive in a place that you are not familiar with..
Actually, if they immigrated illegally, they can't demand higher pay or their employers will inform the government and get them deported. It's a terrible system, as the workers get exploited because no one who lives in the US legally would work for that amount of pay. Factories and factory farms play a large part in this.

Not everywhere else. In congested areas you're more likely to run into rude people that dislike tourists. It really depends on how your personality and their personality combine. I live in the southeast and people are very sheltered but caring.
One time i hosted some students from Germany (i live in Southeast), and they thought it was rude to ask to wash their laundry. Apparently, in New York, their friends asked, and the New Yorkers were offended. I found that odd.
The reversed flag thing is to symbolize the flag flying when the wearer is moving. Also, on the presidential seal, during war time, the eagles head is facing the arrows instead of the olive branch.

No they are backwards because we are at war as i already stated previously. Not just the presidents seal.

The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the ‘reverse side flag’.” It has zero to do with being at war, the flag is worn the same during peace time.
I think i remember seeing something about the arrows not meaning war, but the strength of the 13 colonies when combined. If you have ever heard about people demonstrating trying to break one stick versus a bundle, it is near impossible to break the bundle. But the Iroquois Indians were the ones who originally did it first, but with arrows.
So...dont insult another country if you dont like others to insult your country..and dont get angry if no one in any paticular country didnt speak English..or anyone who come to your country cant speak English..they are not stupid just because they cant speak your language..

As an african(I'm a white 14year old girl btw) that has never been to America, I try not to stereotype, although thanks to these shows it does, in fact, make certain states look 'redneck' or 'uncivilized'. First off, I don't know which "bitchy Texas shows" you are referring to, as I live in Texas and can't think of a single one. Also I'd like to say that if you only judge us off of our reality tv shows (which I really hope you don't because 95% of them are fake) then you wouldn't know anything about a real American person.
