I think they would've been a bit more understanding if they knew he was talking about their son rather than a stranger.. Nonetheless, they didn't even consider it and told him to just "forget" about him.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a true story. I mean lots of people that fought in wars and came back home alive didn't actually "survive" through it. Does that make sense?
I think the guy asked in this way because he knew what kind of people his family was and deep down knew they would crack under the pressure of having to help him. Yet he called to see if maybe he was wrong.
Some can not handle having to care for someone that needs that much help. In his case one day he would of been fine on his own. But they just saw the struggle and because of it they lost someone dear. It's people like this that stick their elderly in homes or their mentally handicap in "hospitals".
Alright. This comment will be downvoted to death probably, but I don't give a damn if it's true or not. It's an amusing post. I have plenty of time to be miserable and bored being gainfully employed, and this guy posting this stuff is putting up some interesting things. I'm just gonna enjoy it and if I think its bullshit I'll look it up. But that doesn't mean it isn't a good post.
