Abuse of those things affects other people. If you are responsible with things then nobody should be able to tell you what to do. We need to teach people more and not just tell them no before they have a chance to decide for themselves.
It's when people abuse it, that it makes them bad, I have used everything you have mentioned and I have never harmed anyone but maybe myself a bit. All I had was a good and fun time.
So are you telling me that if I see someone using drugs its ok cause I dont do it? Or alcohol or use guns as toys? Um ok so next time I see a 13 year old smoking crack at an alley I should just go ahead and keep on walking and let him/her ruin his/her life cause its their RIGHTS and god forbid your kid starts smoking cigarettes and is diagnosed with cancer dont try to stop him/her its hiS/her RIGHTS mmmm...... ok thanks for letting me no Guinness
Obviously this post is taking about people who are well within their legal means to do the things. And yes, if you see a 13 year old in an alley you should talk with them, but that does not include yelling at them for their decisions. If your way of helping is to berate someone then you should just keep going because if they are doing drugs at 13 then there is probably already shit going on in their lives that you know nothing about. I am not saying that you can't lay down rules for your own kids, but don't interfere with other people's children!
Most of the things listed aren't rights, but privileges granted by society. You don't have a right to smoke, or do drugs, or drink, or watch porn. Even the ones that are legal rights, like guns and abortions, can be legally taken away from you.
Oh my prip, you have muddied the waters here. The argument used for abortion is "it is my body". Why can I not use the same argument for alcohol, tobacco and drug use? How is one a right and the other three a privlege?
Because a law was passed saying a woman can get an abortion, and that right is protected by the government. The other ones are not federally protected. We can discuss semantics all you want, and personally, I believe that all drugs should be at the very least decriminalized. However, the way things stand, only guns and abortions are protected.
Okay. I agree with about 75% Of this post.
I don't believe we should let people begin to smoke cigarettes or non-medicinal drugs. Because they kill you.
But otherwise, yes. Yes all the way.

Personally, I don't agree with the abortion one because it takes another's life.
Oh yeah? So it's okay for some jerk to buy a gun because it's his freakin' right and shoot someone? Or smoke right in my face and make me a passive smoker? I agree about homosexuality and porn and other stuff that doesn't harm others but learn to draw a line between your rights and your duties to others. You can do whatever the hell you want with your body but it's my right to live and to live in peace, don't take that away from me.
Thing about porn is that is does hurt people, but not in the way you think. The fact is that things where people are sexually abused on video are gainng popularity, and it isn't good for the people in these things. I heard this from another post, please pass it on.
For things like abortions and gay marriage, I agree stay out of their business. If you don't like then don't have it. However, smoking and drugs are hazardous to everyone.
Porn, sex, abortions, and gay marriage don't affect anyone other than yourself.
Having a free-for-all with guns, allowing people to blow second hand smoke in your face, and allowing people to run around high on drugs DO affect other people. Sorry
Pornography actually harms people, but not in the way you think. Videos where people are being sexually abounded are gaining popularity, and it isn't good for the people in them. I heard this from another post, pass it on.
Don't like dog fights? Don't attend one.
Wait, you don't support other people's right to do that? It's not totally cut & dried? There ARE limits to absolute freedom in society?
