I'm not sure we've had a -10 day let alone a -20 degree day in Australia in the past 100 years. The lowest recorded temperature in Australia is -7.7 at a ski resort.
Whaaaaat?! It's never gone over 30 for me. But Canada is quite large so it's different for everyone. For me average winter is -40 and average summer is 20.
I guess Australia and Arizona must have pretty similar climates because it's at least 105 degrees fahrenheit for most of the summer which an f to c converter tells me is about 40 degrees celsius. But usually in late July its 115 (46) to 120 (48) for a few days. But luckily for us the monsoons have cooled it down a bit here.
You're mental! At my elementary school we couldn't go outside for recess if it was below 0 F, and we'd freeze ourselves just walking over to lunch! (Our cafeteria was in a separate building)
As a Canadian, i can confirm that I am fine in -30, but not all Canadians are. People tend to forget that certain places in Canada that rarely ever see snow. One time I went on vacation in Victoria (B.C.) and it snowed a couple centimetres and was only a few degrees below 0, and people were freaking out. It was hilarious.
