Actually, Skype was funded by a Danish and a Swedish person, so let's say East Europa is the homeland of Skype. As for Hotmail, I thought it was american, with the contribution of an Indian developer.
"More women than men" : yeah, like in most developed countries, but often by a very short margin. We want numbers.
"14% of the population claiming any religious beliefs" : as of 2000, it had been estimated at about 35%, but hey, it's something great !
Let's just say that Europe has other great countries, like Finland, Norway... hell, look at some photos of Romania. If you choose them right, you will want to pack and go there.
