A lot easier than you might think. Sweat for example. Do you know how hot is in Texas? It's highly unlikely that this man didn't sweat and proceed to touch someone
It's not just touching the fluids, there has to be a way for it to enter the body. Unless there is a gash on someone's hand, and they touch the sweat(or other fluids), I can't see how there would be a big issue.
Do you know how many times a day you touch your face or lips or eyes? A lot. You may not even think about it. But sweat glands never stop doing (at least I think, assuming I recall anatomy correctly). Sweat aside, there's saliva or sneezing. When you sneeze, the particles are blown out so quickly, that you can't see. Very easy to pass on, especially in close contact. As for saliva, most of us tend to release spit when talking. Not a lot, but it only takes a little. It's so easy. It's not a matter of being careful, it's a matter of staying away from everyone.
I live in San antonio which is fairly close to Dallas and I have family living in Dallas and I could say there are multiple people infected with it in Dallas. The man came into contact with a lot of people and it is believed he infected 8 children

I live in Maryland, my mom told me that another person got infected in Texas. I told her we should be fine because where like 20 states away from Texas. She got in a argument with me. It ended with me telling me to wash my hands more often and if needed, use bleach everywhere.
unpopular opinion: if you know it spreads so easily, and you don't have a quick way to cure it- EITHER STOP LETTING PEOPLE GO OVER THERE OR STOP BRINGING THEM BACK
Illinois, New Jersey and New York have the right idea: Mandatory 21 day quarantine for doctors that have been to the area.
.
Your final destination doesn't even have to be in those areas either. Given that NYC is a big international transit hub, they could pull you off the plane there even if your destination is somewhere else. Now we just need California (LA), Georgia (Atlanta) and Washington (Seattle) to follow suit.
.
Can't wait for the NWO civil liberty conspiracy nut jobs to jump on this though. Too bad they don't know that it is within the bounds of the constitution and perfectly legal to suspend an individual's rights when it comes to protecting the greater good... especially during a biological catastrophe.
This is such a serious topic as this disease is just vicious. The truth about ebola is equally serious. The possibility that ebola is spread through the air has not been studied. HAS. NOT. BEEN. STUDIED. Ebola is in bodily fluids, like mucous, so what do you think comes out of you when you sneeze? It lives on dry surfaces for hours, wet for days. The WHO is saying that they are seeing patients with an incubation period of more than 21 days. In fact, double that. Does grounding our own citizens while allowing people from the hot zone fly make sense to anyone? THIS MADNESS IS POLITICAL CORRECTNESS and it needs to stop. If saving lives means a few will be offended, then so be it. Use your common sense no matter what the CDC/POTUS is telling you. They've been wrong so far.
