I think whenever they leave elementary they should start getting one. Because that's when their stuff starts becoming more and more technological and they'll start to need to call home and stuff.
But this is a case of psycho. Like those two 12 year olds who stabbed their friend over slender man, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't let them read scary stories.
Yeah, like sure, an iPhone is great and all but I cringe at the idea of my mom spending over $100 for a phone. All I need it the unlimited talk an text plan (we have a plan on MetroPCS, $90 for unlimited talk and text for two phones) and I'm good.
Yeah.
If one person (or really a lot of people but I'll give the benefit of the doubt) do one thing because they're insanely devoted to something revoked, is it fair for everyone to lose that privilege?
Well, I got my first phone when I was in 4th grade (I'm a senior now) but because my parents are divorced and I had to go back and forth between them. So, my parents wanted a way to contact me if something happened. I think that kids in situations like that-- kids that live in sketchy places, kids that have to take a city bus somewhere on a regular basis, things like that--should have a cell phone.
Side Note: In 5th grade I crashed my bike on a trail and broke the growth plate in my ankle, I'm so glad I had my cell phone to call my mom.
I was reading this and thinking it described someone I know and thought it was a huge coincidence then I looked at the name and realized it was the person I know describing themself.
Its pronounced "kah-nig-ity", my last name is Knight and one of the announcers at a swim meet pronounced it as "Ka-nig-it" over the loud speaker at a state competition haha
When did you get your first gameboy? or any nintendo? or your first walkman or cassette? its the same thing, just more advanced technology, the mother is just a crappy parent, stop blaming this generation and blame the ones who raised this generation at the start, yeah something like this is wrong since she's past the point of knowing that that is wrong but i bet if the mother would've raised the kid right since the kid was born then the kid wouldn't have done this.....
Who are you to tell people when they should get a phone? They could start staying home alone at an early age and they're parents want them to have one.

Just.
Wow.
