It it really necessary that we give an award in order for someone to be recognised? We're all already well aware of Leo's talent and Hawking's mental brilliance. People place too much importance on the recognition of others tbh.
A Nobel prize isn't a popularity contest. It's not like it's an injustice he hasn't win one yet. There are simply other scientists that are more deserving.
Even more importantly, work meriting scientific Nobel Prizes must be proven and independently verified. Given that Steven Hawking's work is highly theoretical this is... difficult at best.

Stephen Hawking hasn't done anything noteworthy since the eighties. The chances of him doing anything worth a Nobel Prize are pretty fucking slim at this point.
