I've never heard of the politician but the plane crash is everywhere in the news. I feel like people on the Internet have selective hearing and so they only focus on one thing. In this case the one direction thing has overshadowed some other things, only on the Internet.
Okay so i'm terrified of airplanes and just had to go on one this past weekend and when we were about to leave for the airport, i turned on the tv, the first thing i saw was a story about a plane crash and i started crying because it is so sad and because i am TERRIFIED of airplanes
as that plane crash happened in 2013, any news would take priority over it today, not saying 1D deserves that, but it should be in entertainment section only
I've been on this site for close to 3? years now, and I've never actually felt the urge to really comment (maybe like little blurps here and there), but THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MENTIONING MR. LEE KUAN YEW.
I'm a Singaporean living in the US, and when Mr. Lee died I was kinda upset that the news on a member of One Direction leaving (not dying) was much more hyped than a man that converted Singapore into something so small to a country that thrives immensely today.
I'm so sorry if my comment sounds majorly patriotic, but thank you so much for acknowledging this great man.
(On the other note, Andreas Lubitz is an asinine sociopath)
Mr Lee Kuan Yew who lassed at the ripe age of 91 years old, was literally the founding father of Singapore who spent his whole of his adulthood- no exaggerat shaping the country from a small fishing village to what it is now, a metropolis. Going through many hardships and escaping what was a near death in the World War II, Mr Lee's story is an inspiration to all.
Mr Lee was also counsellor to many of the US presidents and many other well known politicans. Mr Lee served as the longest prime minister in the world for a record of 31 years. Following his retirement from PM though not active in politics contributed greatly to the government. Having dedicated nearly 60 years to the building of a nation really shows Mr Lees determination.
Many politicians came to pay respect to the Late Mr Lee on 30th March including President Obama and other World Leaders. Read up about him and his love story with his wife, he will definetly be an inspiration to all.
RIP Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
You will now.
