One of the consequences of climate change is that history making extreme weather occurs more frequently and it also becomes even more extreme.

One of the things that doesn't really come across in all the hype about climate change is that barring the Ice Ages we are actually in a cool/cold period and normal temperatures on a geologic scale are much warmer. So in reality the warmer climate is just the earth returning to its more natural state.

Yes, while that is true and for me, the primary reason that I had trouble wrapping my head around anthropogenic climate change... Human activity has drastically accelerated it.

Only partially. I'm not saying we haven't had a hand in some of the climate changes but on a world wide scale things like a volcanoes going off or even just the fricking methane from the caribou herds provide more greenhouse gases than the human race. A single active volcano will release more toxins and gases in one day than all the gases mankind puts out in a year.

I have a theory. The poles change all of the time, we are in the middle of a polar shift. Don't be afraid, it would take thousands of years.

Humanity is made responsible for all temperature changes since the formation of our solar system.
