I agree to some extent....but part of me thinks that if that were the case (if false rape accusers got prison time) then it would scare ACTUAL rape victims into not wanting to speak up about their rape for fear that if they don't have enough evidence against their rapist they'll go to prison for a "false accusation". But yeah, I do agree false rape accusers should be punished.
Maybe if you go with the whole "beyond reasonable doubt" concept, as in you would stick them in prison if there's no way you could even slightly prove they may have been raped, if there argument is so obviously false
What if the false victim only gets jail time if the accused rapist got jail time and was later proved innocient? This way deters false accusers, without discouraging the actual victims from speaking up.
Do they not? Doesn't faking a crime result in being punished as if you had committed the crime?

I can't immediately find anything on google. someone else help look please.
Biurny Peguero, although she received a prison sentence compared to the man she accused she was let off fairly well, she accused a construction worker of raping her and he was sentenced to 20 years and after serving only 4 she came out and said she faked the whole thing to receive sympathy from her friends whom she'd fought with previously that night, she only received a 3 year max sentence. She could have and nearly ruined a mans life for personal gain and got off with, basically, a slap on the wrist in comparison. I can't find anything with someone getting off scott-free for faking a crime but often times the punishment, at least in my opinion, is very lacking.
I would argue that they should get a more harsh penalty. They are actively trying to ruin someone's life. Generally rapists don't go in with the mentality that "I want to scar this girl for life and ruin every relationship she ever has" (I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying they don't think about it), but a false accuser is specifically trying to ruin the guy's life.
Google Neils and Ferdi. This is the exact case. A woman accused two school teacher of raping her son in a glass room, and sedating him with a magic stone. Both teachers were sentenced to jail for 15 years.
The fact that a false rape accusation can cost someone their life, job, family, friends, and basically everything because someone decided they were going to accuse someone for something they didn't even do is enough grounds in my book to give them the same sentence.
I don't know, rape is pretty much always seen as terrible no matter what, while a false rape accusation only carries a *risk* of major impact to the victim. It doesn't really seem equivalent.
Biurny Peguero, the man falsely accused for raping was sentenced to 20 years and had served 4 years of his time before the woman, Biurny Peguero, supposedly found religion and confessed to making the whole thing up to receive sympathy. She had a huge potential to ruin this mans life and nearly did. He lost 4 years of his life for something he didn't do, lost his job, and now has to put that he's a convicted criminal on any job application and/or other legal things.

Depending on where he lives, he might be able to get that expunged from his record but I don't remember what is needed for that.
Being falsely imprisoned is a risk of being falsely accused of any crime of great enough magnitude, not just rape. And again, that's risk, there's no guarantee that will happen.
feminism means equality among genders. Only 2% of rape accusations are false however only 40% of rapes that do happen are actually reported to police. As if victims didn't have enough problems with reporting rape out of fear, if this was a penitently, imagine what rapists would say to their victims to keep quiet. I think falsely accusing someone of rape is disgusting and horrible, but what is worse is intimidating the actual rape victims into silence is down right dispicable
The truth isn't always enough though
The majority of sexual assault are not reported to the police (an average of 68% of assaults in the last five years were not reported).1 Those rapists, of course, will never spend a day in prison. But even when the crime is reported, it is unlike to lead to an arrest and prosecution. Factoring in unreported rapes, only about 2% of rapists will ever serve a day in prison.

Are you assuming that any rape charge that doesn't lead to a conviction would be ruled as a false charge? Because those things are not the same.
As for those statistics, sexual assault is not the same as rape, so those results are dishonest from the get-go.
a rapist can easily threaten their victim and convince said victim that no one will believe that the rape happened to keep them quiet (this already happens) but on top of that the fear the victim has of possibly being imprisoned for telling what happened.
1. False rape accusations do not physically scar people for life.
2. Feminism has nothing to do with this. It's a psychotic tendency, not a symptom of whatever feminazism may be.
1. False rape accusations cost people friends, family, jobs, opportunities and even their lives fairly regularly. If a man is accused of rape that's it, his life might as well be over.
2. Feminists are the ones who regularly push for their to be no punishment whatsoever for women who destroy mens lives via accusation of rape. Because in their minds it's better for a man's life to be ruined then for a hypothetical woman to actually have to prove her accusation.
1. That is if the accusation is believed in the first place.
2. Feminists do not like women that falsely accuse people of rape. Rape is a very serious issue and lying about being raped takes away from that.
