Actually July 1 is the 182nd day of the year. But 365/2 = 182.5, which is why you have until noon on July 2.
Also, since I started the year in one timezone, but I'm now in a different timezone 3 hours behind, I'm actually hitting the halfway mark at 9am instead of at noon.
Why is this comment getting down voted? He's RIGHT, and the post IS a day off. Look at a calendar and add up the days in the first six months: 31+28+31+30+31+30= 181 days. So therefore July 1st is the 182nd day and July 2nd is ACTUALLY the 183rd day.
.
The post IS CORRECT about its main point: July 2nd at 12:00 PM is the exact middle of the year. Exactly 182 days lie before July 2nd and 182 days lie after it, so on July 2nd, we're right in the middle. And 12:00 PM is the middle of the day.
.
Of course, all that's true if it's NOT a leap year, in which case the middle of the year occurs at midnight on July 2nd.

That's not actually the reasoning behind Blink-182's name. They wanted to name themselves just "Blink" but that name was already taken so they added the "182" for reasons unknown.
It was Blink, but there's an Irish band called Blink before them, so they had to add something. They decided on 182 because that is how many times someone says the word Fuck in Scarface. You're right, reallychelseawow.
Also, I'm not sure of the accuracy of this next Fun Fact, but I like to think it's true. Apparently Tom named it Blink because it stood for Boys Lusting Incredibly Nude Kids, which he thought was hilarious.
