This is why it's so important for news groups to produce unbiased facts instead of sensationalism based on what they think people will want to hear. I find it truly amazing that people are so willing to bend the truth or accept what amounts to hearsay as truth in order to put their opinions of what they think must of happened instead of what actually happened out as news.
Well I believe they make more money by being biased so it will likely never change, and the average folks are too lazy to gather all the facts so they just jump in the bandwagon pick up an instrument and start playing like good little puppets.
And why should we let him succeed in contributing to more racial tension? There aren't sufficient words to describe what a horrible thing that was that happened, but we should try our best to not let it keep further inciting more hatred. I believe those innocent people there worshiping would never have wanted that.
I hate how the politicians are more focused on the racial part of it than the fact that a crazy psychotic gunman shot and killed 9 people. Regardless of race, this is the big problem here.
Okay and why did he kill them so we can stop people from doing that again? Oh, he wanted to start a race war because he was a racist uncivilized cowardly thug? Well then we have to focus on the race part if its the motive...
Okay we need to conquer the issue that the dude killed the nine people and keep other people from doing it too right? In order to do that, you need to find out the root cause of the murders and eliminate it. And the root cause was racism.
I highly disagree with this. Racism is still a massive problem in the U.S. today and ignoring it wouldn't help anything, all it would do would keep the status quo, which obviously is not ok.
OK so what the smart people are trying to get through all of your thick skulls is that we need to focus on the biggest, main problem here, THEN focus on racism. That's like firemen putting out a bonfire before they put out the forest fire
Really the problem that needs focused on is the failure in the background check system that allowed him to procure a gun 'legally' the 'race card' is a line item at best in this he would have likely shot the place up if it had been full of white people or any other race.
Yes we need to focus on gun regulations and the other aspects but racism is a massive problem and the fact that it was a historically black church and he had confederate ties so it is clear that race is part of the problem here so don't act like its not
How u gonna have Confederate ties? It's been dead for 150+ years and just Cuz u were born in the south doesn't mean u agree with something that happened 150 years ago.
People who use events that happened hundreds of years ago to attempt to excuse their behavior now are flat out stupid. While history should be taught in an uncensored state it should never be emulated or repeated!
People who use the Confederate flag are just as bad as black people who use slavery as an excuse when they're being rude even though they never lived it.
Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it, because they don't know what has already tried and failed.
Please just compare the number of white persons killing black persons because they are black to the number of black persons killing white persons because they are white. Let the numbers sink in. Ponder. Ponder some more. Now think about it: is it really a good thing to ignore the racial aspect in these incidents?
You're exactly right wolfpack, race is only being brought into this simply because they can, if he would have killed a bunch of folks his race it wouldn't have gotten nearly as much publicity or sparked near the 'outrage' over some flag, it would have just been a 15 minute spot on the 5 o'clock news and gone the next day.
Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it, because they don't know what has already tried and failed.
