Gangster. I think it's closer to the comicbooks. He was actually funny. And ruthless and cruel.

So far, Anarchist. But considering that the Joker in the comics is actually more of a psychopath than an anarchist, I'm excited to see Leto's joker and I suspect he will be my favorite.

I like joker from the animated series from the 90s (was it that long ago?) I think he'd be more psychopath?
