i would imagine having that kind of acne left her face scared... you can clearllyyy see the acne went down so any makeup in the photo doesn't change the improvement... it doesn't change the fact its improved so no reason to be making a point of it.
The point of the picture was to see improvement, but that is not possible if in one picture she is make up free and the other she has her whole face covered. I made no comment on the legitimacy of wearing makeup, only pointed out that those pictures don't go together.
What I hate about acne is that it gives you SCARS. They're fucking terrible, even after you get rid of it your face will look like crap because you'll have scars everywhere. I loathe people who lived their entire lives without it and then they tell you "maybe you should wash your face more often." Like bitch, it's hormones, not hygiene. Do you think I don't shower and that I'm a jungle ape that you advise me to wash it more? I already tried every kind of soap and facewash there is!

Or when they say its because you eat greasy food. Like, no bitch, it isn't. Literally no evidence backs up that theory. I had terrible acne when I was in middle school, thankfully it cleared up
So true! I eat good food, munch on salads and red meat and cut down sweets, plus I work out, and some people who've never had acne except for a few pimples in puberty still try to give me advice! So irritating!
You're lucky. I'm 18 and still have pretty bad acne. Apparently it's hormonal and I could temporarily get rid of it by taking contraceptives, but I'm not going to dope myself with hormones and swallow some dumb pills every day. I'm trying to be healthy, and maybe one day try accutane or just something that is permanent, but I just refuse to eat pills for the rest of my life.
Ugh yes. Its like when people without kids try to give tips on parenting. Unless you're a legitimate expert ob the subject, or have experienced it, your advice means nothing. I have a skin condition called keratosis pilaris (basically spike like nails grow out of my skin) and I only recently found a treatment that works but people were always giving me unwanted advice
Oh man, that sounds unpleasant. Sorry for saying "you're lucky", what I meant was the acne, I didn't know about that and now it comes out as ignorant. I'm glad you found something that works for you.

No need to be sorry, I am lucky my acne never got as bad as in the pic. And lucky I found a good treatment for my condition! Could be worse
you will continue to have this crap in all aspects of life, people love nothing more than to assume they know why you have a problem and tell you their sure fire way to fix it. and now to prove my point ewqua i wasn't quite sure if you objected to the hormones completely or just taking a daily pill. but if its the later you could look into the nuvaring, its the same hormones as the pill but its just thing you put inside you for three weeks at a time so you don't notice it, plus since it slowly constantly distributes the hormone, no hormone spikes like with pill.

Here in Canada there is also a birth control sticker. Not even joking haha. You stick it one for a week at a time I think
Thank you deviledapple, I might look into it. The thing is, I don't want to be too dependant on pills and medicaments that just block the problem, I'd rather improve my health in general so I don't have to worry about anything when I forget to take a pill. Alas, hormones are usually not that much of a bad lifestyle thing, it's a random/genetical thing. But apparently there are growth hormones in chicken, and androgenic hormones in milk, so I'm trying to cut down on those.
Yeah, that actually sounds great if the effects are permanent. I also looked into accutane, apparently it works like a miracle but it also messes you up during the treatment, so I'm not exactly sure about that.
It doesn't work for some people. Or, it will work for some and then a few months later it will come back. You may have to do more than one treatment of it
