1. When men attempt suicide, they use methods that are more likely to work quickly and effectively. At least statistically anyway. Whereas women are more likely to try methods that have a higher rate of failure.
2. Socially speaking, it's more acceptable for a woman to seek treatment. Men tend to be told to deal with it or suck it up.
3. Anger is a common side affect of depression and can mask it so maybe some people just think they're angry.
The more common forms of suicide for men are guns or a noose while females typically choose medicines and try to OD on pills. Women typically look for methods that won't damage their image in the end whereas men typically don't care as much so long as the jobs done. A terrible thing overall but something can and needs to be done.

I wholeheartedly agree. Depression pisses me off. It makes me think of a giant bloody battle where everybody is fighting on their own and they can't even see that the whole field is full of people fighting the same enemy and I'm like "come on, let's make a shield wall and defend each other and fight together instead of getting picked off one by one."

Either a shield wall or phalanx has to be the most beautiful military maneuver because of everyone supports each other; everyone matters.

I couldn't agree more from a philosophical point of view. From a practical point of view, it'd be blood soaked and the ground would be mud from all the blood and offal. But yes, every single person matters and they can stand or fall from the strength/weakness of one.
And that video showed it wonderfully. The author Bernard Cromwell has some epic battle and shield wall descriptions in his series the Pagan Lord. Takes place in England during the reign of King Alfred the Great.
Is jumping off a building a normal thing or is that more rare?

Where I live, there's a bridge called suicide bridge where people tend to go. On a cool note, one of my husband's coworkers stopped a guy from jumping off an overpass and held his hand until the cops came. That was about a week ago.
Story time:
One day I was having a pretty tough day and I come home and do you know what the first thing my Moro brother tells me? Suicides always an option. And then my dad says I need to fix my issues with my brother like the foog
what's a foog?
You should punch your brother in the dick. Assuming it's big enough to hit of course. Unless your family dynamic has you at the bottom of the pecking order and doing so would get you into so much shit that running away would be better.

But anyways, the FS family is here for each other.
Fun fact : Females who suffer from depression are often open about it and show their signs of depression for attention where as males aho suffer depression tend to be more quiet about it which results in higher suicide rates. I learnt all that in school. That was a fun 5 hours.
This is from men's health clinic so they're referring to woman suffering from depression due to lack of Intercourse and suicide in males due to irrectile dysfunction
but they still show the statistics that are relevant to the topic, correlation not causation does not have any place here. They may be from different studies, but as long they were done using accurate data, you can use them for comparison.
