"Mom I feel like you and dad don't love me anymore and my therapist says you are projecting your failing marriage onto me"
"BECAUSE YOU ON THAT DAMN PHONE"
Don't forget that every system in the nation uses your presence in it to garner city, county, state, and federal funding. So they trod you down to keep you frustrated and distracted from the prisons you're required to attend year after year until you've racked up a quarter million dollars in debt.
Some? A whole lot. Everyone acts like a kid every once in a while. Even adults. Nobody wants to be the grown up all the time. That's why I pledge the "don't grow up past a teenager" pledge so I don't become a boring person who goes to bars to have pleasant and polite conversations or sit at a computer all day and stare at a screen and work my whole life away paying bills and being forgotten after my grandkids and never live the life I wanted when I was only a delinquent in the eyes of society and only considered smart if I could ace a test or follow the rules and not say or do something that's never been said or done before and never find what happiness really is because everyone accepts the life of today's world and struggles their whole life just wasting our time wondering when it's gonna get better or when it's all gonna end when we could of been pursuing what makes us happy and not waiting in fear and agony day by day hoping it'll just appear. Sorry for rant and run on sentences
Wait until you reach twenty years old (my current age). You will reflect upon all the angst and anger, and realize it was mostly just your own insecurity while growing up - originating (in most cases, at least) in yourself rather than the world around you. :) Trust me.
My dad: ugh, you should have asked me yesterday to do a thing you just thought of even though it really is no convenience to me because all I do is play video games each day
My dad, later on: I'm gonna sit in the garage and smoke while you watch kids you didn't agree to baby sit for a few hours without asking if you had things to do
So true. People are all "You should know what you want to do for the rest of your life by now." and "Buy it with your own money" even though we're 'too young' for them to trust us to do things that would give us life experience and money. They need to pick one mindset and stick with it. Otherwise there will be people with no experience expected to take on adult responsibilities and that's not good for anyone.
Most of what I've seen has been teens acting like kids hence being treated like kids. A teacher of mine has truthfully stated "youth is wasted on the young" and sadly it's true
We demand to be treated as adults, even though we act like spoiled children. We want our independence, as mom & dad supply a phone, food, houisng and gas in the car. Oh, and a car.
When a parent, after a day of work, home maintenance, car repair, shopping for food, preparing food and doing laundry, asks if we could put the clothes we want washed into the hamper, we will roll our eyes and mutter that we're being treated as slaves. Like, OMG, I can't even.
Garlog has a point
Tumblr is pretty much the embodiment of what happens when you have the freedom of an adult with none of the responsibility ( repercussions )
