Ok, no one else said it, so I will. Be yourself. Don't be submissive just to keep a boyfriend. It is ok to have an opinion, and every healthy relationship has nagging/fights that hopefully lead to compromise.

yeah but... this is normal beginning of relationship stuff... everyone is mushier and more accommodating without even thinking about it... she'll be throwing shit at his head when he asks for a sandwich in a couple years, trust me, not boring at all.

Yeah "without even thinking about it" is correct at first because everyone is so happy all the time, but the jist I got from the post seemed like it was purposeful. I guess we don't know the circumstances or length of relationship.

for dad to be giving input it sounds new. not arguing sounds new too, cuz honestly mature people don't have much to argue about in the beginning, differences of opinions are normally just one person shrugging and going "yeah sure we can go to moe's instead of chilis i didnt really care that much" its later when someone wants to not vaccinate a baby or you have to decide whos responsible for giving up a Saturday to run a long errand or whether its ok for that dirty bowl to sit in the sink until theres a few more dishes there.
