I've read that wolves can't be tamed as easily because dogs are wolves that have been tamed and domesticated over centuries so you can't really tame a wolf that well unless it's bred with dogs but that's only so far down the line. In most places you can't sell a wolf dog mix unless it's way less than less than 50 percent wolf.
I don't know about foxes, though
Even if a wolf is crossed with a dog they will still have some features of a wild wolf. They would have strong jaws, powerful howls, and may become aggressive due to their nature. I really recommend not purchasing a wolf or even a cross breed. Wolves are highly intelligent animals and don't belong in a house. There are many incidents of people and their wolf hybrids, who have become dangerous. People think they can handle a wolf hybrid because they have owned a dog but it's extremely risky. Many wolves and wolf hybrids are then given up to shelters or wolf conservation places. I suggest getting a domesticated dog and maybe even saving a dog from a shelter. Hope that answers your question. :)
Before any of you get any ideas please realize some things. A fox is an extremely high maintenance pet. They have a lot of energy which they will use to shred just about anything they can get their paws on. They also can be very moody and temperamental. In addition they require a large fenced in outdoor pen that has been "Fox Proofed." The fence has to both be quite tall and sunk fairly deep into the ground as foxes both jump and dig. A fox is not the type of pet for a new owner or someone with kids, and they require a lot of attention and care.
They're called Russian silver fox, they were selectively bred for their temperaments and the ones now are twenty generations into the breeding. They really are high maintenance, they look cute and will cuddle but will also get into literally everything you own. Also don't own any small pets like birds or hamsters because they'll find a way of eat them as well
