Well im asking cuz in my southern brain here we say coke we mean an actual coke a cola. soda or pop is just refering to the type of drink

in georgia (headqaurters of coke) we call it soda, unless it's actual the soda Coke, then we call it coke. get it right fool, we would never call Pepsi "coke". that's just an insult to our southernness

I say soda unless I'm referring to coke. Coke is coke. When I say coke I mean coke.

Yeah the majority of the south calls it soda, not "coke." I've heard it once in Tennessee, and in Texas. Never anywhere else.
