The best, most haunting line in SotL would have be when Hannibal is talking to clarice and tells her "I do wish we could chat longer, but 'm having an old friend for dinner" while eyeing chilton
Omg ok fun fact: that part where Clarise and Dr. Lector are talking for the first time and he mimics her southern twang, that was all improvised by Anthony Hopkins. That look of surprise on Jodie Foster's face is genuine.
Actually he does. Like once or twice. I've seen the movie and stared at him the whole time.
But the "Chianti and fava beans" line with the slurp is improvised.
@texasranger I remember hearing something about Anthony Hopkins using Charles Manson for inspiration since Manson hardly blinked during a police interview video
Yeah it's a "fact" all around the web but i (not trying to brag) have a collector's edition and I've seen all the interviews and not once did they mention that. But I may be wrong so I'll give it another look.
It was a gift. It's so great bc it comes with invitations to a dinner party and different recipes on each one. No they arenas recipes with human body parts, just normal recipes.
I love silence of the lambs! First time I saw it was on Halloween, at my friends stepfathers house.. he is a priest so he lived in this old house next to the church.. for sure haunted.. Could not sleep for days afterwards.. Granted was 11.. my mum is still pissed off about it :P
Jump scares, if done right, can help build tension. Some of the all time classic horror movies feature a jump scare or two. Poor writing and flat out boring movies are the problems these days, not jump scares.
