Ism, it was a pagan holiday at the time, they celebrated different stuff, but the Christians were taking over Europe. They decided to place a holiday on that day to compete with the pagans.

I'm fairly sure it was Saturnalia, an ancient Roman festival,

Islam didn't even exist at the time of Jesus anyway until 400 to 600 years after his time had passed.

They didn't have news in biblical times

oh great point there, they didn't have the news. my point is that they were harmless. Even the vast majority of muslims aren't jihadists, all jihadists are still muslims. It's not the muslims that people are afraid of letting in the U.S, its the completely possible deaths.

No one said they were, and where did the Muslim come from ? No one mentioned them

I appreciate the sentiment, but the story is that Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem because of a census. Which is not exactly seeking refuge.

Well, they were travelling to Bethlehem but Christmas is ( supposed to be ) about the birth of Christ, and they were trying to find a place to stay for Mary to give birth ( seeking refuge)
