That's not how the electoral college works. It's kinda like the house of representatives in that it's based on population. In fact the number of electoral college representatives a state has is the number of congressional representatives + the number of senators.
So why does your vote matter? Because the way the electoral college works is that whichever candidate gets the most votes in your state is who your electoral college representatives vote for.
So all you have to do is cast your vote to ensure that your desired candidate is the one who receives the majority in your state.
And honestly what are the chances of that happening? Its pretty unlikely
All I have to say is don't complain about who wins the election if you don't vote.
We are staging to overwhelm the poles right now. We are old so we have to get ready to go vote for the Trumpster a little earlier than you. Those voting booths are a long way from the home but we're determined. Old fogey power!
The older generation does vote in larger numbers - during the midterm elections. Come 2016, the younger voters will come out and vote. Fun fact of the day: In the last six presidential elections, the Republican candidate has only won the majority vote once, 2004. The way things are going, they'll be 1 for 7 after '16.
What the elderly generation chooses? Screw that. I'm tired of living under some socialist bleeding heart libtard. Trump. I nice iron fist that won't be handing out my tax dollars anymore. Lets make America great again.
If he gets elected he will have an assassination attempt. Honestly, does no one else see this? He's purposely pissed off every fucking minority/subgroup in the world. I'm actually surprised it hasn't already happened.
One item that OP missed is that in order to vote, you MUST BE REGISTERED. Please, do not forget to register to vote. Dates vary by state, but there is always a cutoff date to register by.
Last night I was scrolling through some Instagram feed and saw a Trump post. Stupidly, I replied saying he was going to ruin our country. I got a string of replies from teenaged boys calling me a bitch and whore and hoe and asking if I was retarded. I am 15. Please stop this now. We all know he's bad and yet you still support him.
I mean no offense by this but you're ONLY 15. You have not lived long enough, learned enough, experienced enough to "KNOW" anything yet. The responses you got, however, are just hateful a-holes being a-holes and do not reflect Conservatism. As you mature you will (hopefully) experience enough to make an educated decision, but I'd wager that you have heard this line from adults you trust or read it many times from internet sources you think you can trust. Back Trump, Clinton, Sanders, or Daffy Duck, just do it after educating yourself on ALL sides of the issues, please. Thank you for taking an interest in your future. Best wishes.
Despite how little you think of us teenagers, we can tell that someone shouldn't be running a country if they've actually said they were going to build a wall around America and make the Mexicans pay for it.
Please re-read my comment. I do not think little of you teanagers, I just have lived a little longer than you and have learned more. Also I asked lucky to do her own research and make up her own mind, and I believe I thanked her for her interest. You teenagers sometimes forget that your parents were once your age too, and we also used to think we knewmore than adults. Believe what you will, and vote however you think best when the time comes. I only ask that when you do go to the polls you make an informed descision and do not simply follow others.
Do you want Trump to be your president? Because I haven't mentioned anyone else. I don't think I know more than adults, I never said that and I know it's not true. But I do know Trump is a racist dick that thinks just because he has a lot of money he should be president.
I will vote for Trump if he is the Republican nominee. I still do not know who I will vote for in the primary. As you are not an American I assume you do not know that your comment about having a lot of money applies to Clinton too?
No, I didn't know that. But she's not racist, right? She doesn't frequently call Muslims terrorists or call Jewish people 'little people in yamikahs' anyway.
Just a clarification for all on the topic of terrorists; Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but every terrorist is a Muslim. Sometimes you have to accept the facts staring you in the face and figure out what to do about it. We cannot afford to refuse to have a conversation on the matter because we are afraid of offending someone. No we should not round up every Muslim and has them, but damn it they sure as hell might warrant a closer look!
As bad as Trump is, does nobody remember how Marc Rich was a giant tax cheat and had to leave the country or go to prison, but then right before Bill Clinton left office Marc Rich made a huge donation to his library foundation and also to Hilary's senate campaign, and then Bill Clinton pardoned him? Or that there was that big uproar because the Chinese government donated to Hilary's campaign funds? Trump would be terrible, but amazingly, he'd be less bad than another Clinton.

This unfunny moment brought to you by someone who was old enough to read the news during the last Clinton presidency. Unfunny, but with substance, so half-applicable to this site. (Plus, I didn't start the political rant.)
:-(
From another old enough to remember, you're absolutely right about Rich and the Clintons both. I do not believe you're right about Trump, however, but only time will tell. I am not supporting Trump at this time, but I feel he is getting a bum rap simply because he is in front and convenient.
Well I mean trump isnt good president material but he speaks up for most americans lol no matter what u think that's true I don't like him but he's better than hillary XD
Also what about this post is "fun"?

Granted I've never personally felt any affect on my life from any president so far, so honestly I don't care.
