I know. It's MIND-BOGGILING that I survive day to day. However, mine's NOT nearly as bad as they get.

More like being in the center of a hurricane and every single thought is the vortex bombarding you, and you're doing everything..just to stay in the eye where it's peaceful

Save the girl impersonating me on Twitter. Reading her tweets she obviously has an advanced mental illness.

I promise it's NOT "ridiculousness". My parents didn't believe me for a long time either. I was just "shy" to them. I was told "talking to people really isn't that hard", and "I could make more friends if I tried". A lot of the times for people with mental illnesses, those around them do not believe something is wrong because they cannot physically see it, and they don't want to believe it. On the other hand, you don't have to listen to people who are blind, and are unable to accept that metal illnesses are just as real as physical ones. THEY ARE WRONG. If you know something is wrong, then something is wrong. You are NOT "being ridiculous". People with depression cannot just "be happier". People with anxiety cannot just "calm down" and "stop worrying". Feel free to contact me if you ever need to talk. If you do I promise never to accuse you of being ridiculous.

Yeah thank you taboo and dahlia, it took me cutting up my face with a razor before my parents got me meds and a psychiatrist :( hopefully it never gets that extreme for anyone else. (Also I know that sounds like I'm batshit crazy but I'm in a better situation now trust me)

Thank you. I ran out of my meds because I had to change doctors for insurance reasons, etc., and it's been tough. Slowly weaning myself off until I can see a doctor so I don't have withdrawal symptoms. Husband came home to find me screaming in the back yard at dog poo yesterday.

Okay honestly I think about dying at least 40 times a day and it's just like a normal thought at this point like I'll be walking and be like "I should step in front of a car." And then I'll be like "Nah that wouldn't be cool."

It's quite possible you are suffering from depression. This is one of the many possible symptoms. My suggestion is to see a counselor or psychiatrist (they're awesome), and program the suicide hotline into your phone for instance the one for the U.S. is 8002738255 and http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ offers a free online chat option. You don't even have to tell them your name. They're there for when you desperately need someone to talk to and understand. You can also always chat with me on substance or PM me on AO3 under the same username.

I've been suffering from depression since I was 7. I've been on pills buy they make me sick and foggy and Im not suicidal I would never act on those thoughts. But thank you sometimes it's nice to know people care even strangers.

It does get better though if you try, a year ago I decided to kill myself but backed out at the last minute, now even though I still have bad days I'm so glad that I didn't end it and overall life is of a good quality

I can't really vent on other sites, but I would like to on here. So as much as I respect some people I know for dealing with mental illness. I feel the people who live with the mentally ill deserve nearly equal praise. You have no idea how hard it is to deal with a brother who has bipolar (especially one that is extremely rude). Currently he has two states, though: "asshole," and "violent asshole." I think he may be a little narcissistic judging from the "I do everything around here," and then he proceeds to half ass his chores and then gets mad(yelling and terrible, mean comments towards others) when we point out he needs to do the chore, and afterwards he says me and my other siblings do nothing. (I get obsessive when I clean, and I take huge offense to this)

I'm with jordgubbe, I've been on both sides when I had depression and was suicidal, which is now still there but manageable, and my brothers severe depression and suicidalness now and it is harder to see that in someone you care about and to live with someone knowing that you can't actually do much to help them

I was very recently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, meaning that I get extremely and uncomfortable attached to the people I love, and my anger issues are off the charts. Any little thing can set me off. School and home life have become much more difficult now. Thank you again for helping everyone by posting this.
