"Who gives a s**t?" I do! Polls like this do serve a purpose. This one tells us that a full 25% of people don't believe climate change is real. If you're one of the 75%, you should be concerned by that!
Sure, if you're using this poll to say "look, no one believes in climate change so it MUST not be real", you're doing it wrong. Instead, look at it and say "wow, that's a lot of uneducated people, maybe we should fix that..."
Remember, these people vote. They make a difference. Wouldn't it be nice if they were educated enough to make a good difference?

I do agree that raising awareness for climate change is a bit unproductive. Everybody, whether they believe it or not, knows about climate change. What needs to be done is promoting alternatives for things we do every day, like trying to get more solar or wind power plants and switching to electric cars. Not only that, but you need to make it profitable and affordable so nobody gets scared about how it'll effect the economy. Let the greedy Americans know it can only improve our standard of living.
Tl;Dr, I think climate change is serious, but we need less talk and more solutions.
I like how he says that we don't need opinions on a "fact." Problem is, Global Warming isn't a "fact." And if we're going to give the government yet more power over our lives,we ought to be sure that it is indeed a fact, and also man-made, and not just asnother cycle. We can easily see the seasonal cycle of summer-winter, plus the 7 year sunspot cycle, but there's also a 200 year soloar activity cycle and a 4000 year one. There are reasons the earth's climate changed before man even existed or had tools to measure temperature. But, yeah, let's give the govt even more power over our lives, choices, and the economy.
Its not that I don't believe it I just don't care and don't think has anything to do with politics. Yeah the earth goes through warm and cold periods. Bring on the hate.
The hockey stick has been proven false, the East Anglia email scandal proves the data was manipulated, and further proof this is all political and not scientific is that they keep changing their tactics when inconvenient truths pop up. For example, in the 70s it was claimed we were going to have another ice age. In the 80s they started claiming global warming. Now that there is proof that the earth is in a cooling period they have changed to simply "climate change". Every dire prediction so far about the end of thr world and how we only have 10 or 20 years has been false. When presented with these contradictory facts, the hoaxers either resort to calling people " deniers" - too stupid to know anything about it, or they say that we cannot afford to take the chance. What is ALWAYS their solution? Taxes, taxes, taxes.
Further evidence is the fact that even as the pc crowd is crowing about the ice caps melting, the Arctic is under record ice. Anyone remember the Antarctic ice just a few years ago? An environmentalist group went down there to document the disappearing ice and got their ship stuck in all the sea ice that "wasn't there anymore."
