Look like what we called sandspurs. But I grew up in the south USA. Sandspurs are what you get when bluegrass goes rogue. As for the pic, it could be something else.
Don't know. Growing up you learned to not step on sandspurs and stay away from begalice. But you could chew the Indian grass as long as you didn't have a dog.
