Truth be told, the jury is still out. Vaping hasn't been around long enough for long enough studies to have taken place.
I have looked into the medical papers that have been published on the research and the last time I checked, there were eleven. Of those, ten were the equivalent of an academic shrug. The eleventh, published by the Boston University Medical school, said, "Yes, vaping is a safe alternative to smoking."
Bottom line: if you smoke, quit. If you have trouble, try vaping. It is surely better for you.
No fire, no smoke, no stanky stale reek.
But remember, it's still nicotine. It's still an addictive drug that can raise your blood pressure. That alone can cause heath concerns of its own.
Give me a break. Half the people claiming this is too offensive have been, or will be later, on other posts telling other people not to take things so seriously.
I said it was too soon but post like this and the 9/11 attacks and such are in very poor taste. There are things people take too seriously on here but these post are different than that. And I've seen you get worked up about post making fun of someone's lifestyle.
No I was using that as an example of what you've been worked up over before in different post. I don't wish to get into a big argument with you, just bringing it to your attention that you have been offended by post that attack a lifestyle but then say "Give me a break. Half the people claiming this is too offensive have been, or will be later, on other posts telling other people not to take things so seriously."
That's not really relevant, though, since I don't make comments about posts being too offensive. Maybe if I disagree with what the post is saying, I'll adress it, but that's usually it.
Thanks, and sorry for yours. I do think post like these shouldn't be here just because you don't know who may have been personally affected by a terrorist attack. I get that it's a clever joke but still in poor taste.
It's just that this is still soon, all things considered. My parents worked for Cantor Fitzgerald until August 2001 so it's still very fresh for some families. And each attack takes us right back to that moment.
