I don't get why people are so broken up over this. He was introduced and killed in the same movie with no time for us to even start caring about him. His death literally meant nothing to me. Sorry, but not sorry.
But isn't Quicksilver just another name for Mercury? Hawkeye's shield would have to be kept at an insanely cold -38 degrees Celsius or below to even keep the shield in solid form. Also, Mercury is toxic to humans, so Clint Eastwood ( I forget what his last name is) would have to be very careful not to make skin contacts or breathe in debris broken off from the shield. Comic book science is weird.
