You're right we do learn about these people in school but even then it's still rare to hear about them. I mean I didn't learn about half these people until high school ,Einstein is a no brainer you hear about him throughout your life, but I still don't know their names I just remember their faces and that's because even while in school they weren't shoved down my throat like the Kardashian clan or other celebs are.
well you should atleast know two or three as its common knowledge. I think this post targeted the people who spent their whole school time lollygaging and obsessing over celebs.
Well to be fair, there's a dozen pics (most of which I can name, ahthankyouverymuch) vs just one person who is ALWAYS IN OUR FACE DAY IN AND DAY OUT...
I just listened to my English class discuss Kim Kardashian's recent Instagram pic and as much as I want to have hope, they weaken my faith in my generation.
That's incorrect. It's just about exposure. I've seen Kim Kardashian a million times but some of the others I've seen only once in textbooks or haven't seen at all because I'll see it in a next year one.
It's not the peoples fault that they know who kim k is rather than tesla. News in the world don't publish subjects wit science or something useful, instead they post news about her or someone else who's done something shameful and still consider it as something pitty, or she/he wasn't herself, or she/he was used. When they're famous It's always considered as a sickness or she/he was going through a tough time. The point is that we've come some down that in some schools or news they'd more willingly discuss about someone elses life than actuall helpful science or world saving stuff. It's them who's causing this, not us.
