Because it's not about being comfortable, it's about exploring, breaking limits, being a pioneer. Discovering a new world, contributing to humanity's advances while going down in history as one of the foremost explorers? I'd take that over blue skies every time.

Considering our planet is on a timer, planning a trip to other planets doesn't seem like such a bad idea. Nobody wants to colonize Mars in its current state, we have to make it habitible first.
