- delegates = important political people who represent yours state
- you -> vote for delegate-> delegate chosen-> delegate vote president = electoral college
Your electoral college votes chose who the delegate is for the Republican and Democratic party is which sadly will be Hillary and Trump. Then in October? November we vote on which we want. Private parties have NO chance with the electoral college set up. Just the way our corrupt ass government wants it. Now after voters "vote" in Nov...the winner (by state) gets to be President in 2017. And no matter what party or candidate gets it ... They will be puppeted by the Congress and house to do their bidding and it will be whatever they want. More than likely due to the last 8 years being Democratic it'll prolly be a Republican or sadly Trump as the next president of the United States ... Did that help??
There are 3 factors in american government corruption. Money(business world), Politics(corrupt politicians accepting money) and Media(covering up these activity's) None of these would be able to function without the other. Donald Trump is the only candidate who speaks out against this corruption(with the exception of sanders) and has refused money from even more wealthy individuals and their corporations.
The only way Trump can run a business is right into the ground. Exactly how he's treating the country right now too. America was joke before. Thanks to this election, we just look downright pitiful.
Because the electoral college is deemed much more fair than popular vote. Electoral college is seen by both democrats and republicans, and mostly those of much smaller states, as a way to better include all people and votes. At least that was the argument in the 70's when the US came closest to repealing the Electoral college.
Well you do have consider how much would change if the electoral college was repealed. You wouldn't have candidates campaigning states, rather you'd have candidates campaigning only cities. New York City, Chicago, etc.
