Okay there is a difference: in that in playing a game for so long you either do everything there is to do, beat the game multiple times, and/or (I have before) played for multiple THOUSANDS of hours, it gets a bit stale. I don't think clothes have that same issue.

Might just be, just because to neither you or me clothes might feel stale to wear, it doesn't mean it can't feel so to others.

Or maybe the clothes are all from your friends that are 1 size bigger and you are wearing out of kindness to their tastes and their memories and reluctance to never see their old clothes.
