I'm more concerned with the at least three people who said 30, like I can understand 98 being an error in dividing or subracting and 50 and error in the understanding of the problem but I just can't see 30.
No, it doesn't make sense. But for some people, that is how their minds work. I am simply deducing that that is what happened to others, not me. Anyway, that is how the mind works. When buying a two dollar thing and having a 1 dollar discount, that is huge. 1:2. Then having 1 dollar off 100 is the same but is valued less. There is even a Vsauce video on this. That is simply how human minds work before they think about it more. Mostly everyone thinks with a weird thing about halves.
Like is said, I don't think this way. But, that is how the human brain is wired to perceive things, in patterns like this. It is just that those who got it wrong were improperly applying the pattern to real life. All I wanted to say was the reason that these people got it wrong, and it is because they put down an answer without remembering that the question wasn't an input output chart. No, I am not admitting to being stupid.
I know the answer is 97! I am simply showing why someone might think the answer was 50. Can't you get it through your thick skull and maybe read what I have to say without focusing solely on your counter argument? Please read to understand, not to reply.
