Actually, that is wrong or maybe just badly worded. Sunlight exposure only transforms provitamin D, which you get from food, into vitamin D. Your body never creates anything, just transforms. But then again that can be said about literally anything, chemical reactions are just relocations of molecules and atoms, you can't create things out of nothing.
