It doesn't feel like it because we have access to every war that is happening while even 50 years ago nobody knew wtf was going on.

I assume this is excluding the first half of the last century which saw the 2 bloodiest wars in history. That wasn't that long ago, and there are still ppl living who witness that. So I don't know if it's fair to say it's a peaceful age, maybe just a lull....
