I've never done it. I didn't in high school because I choose to, never had the opportunity in college, and now I'm 30 and at this point finding someone to befriend that smokes it is a weird and difficult task.
I honestly want it legal so I can try it. Medical purposes are great, but my support come from curiosity.
Dude, no one's ever overdosed on weed, man. Ever.
Dude, you can make rope from hemp, man.
Dude, you can make wood from hemp and build stuff, man.
Dude, weed cures cancer, man.
Dude, big pharma, man.
Dude, dude, what was I talking about, man?
I made a similar comment the last time I saw those post but you never hear people calling out the people who post the medical benefits of alcohol even when they are only using it to get drunk. Not to mention weed users HAVE to defend it since it should be legal and they are just pointing out why it should be legal
if you smoke that's fine, but use it responsibly as it's this kinda use that gives weed a bad rep & doesn't allow it to become legal for those who benefit from the legalization
I don't use and I never have but I know a bunch of people who do use that are responsible about it and don't use at work and what not. The ones who are irresponsible are in the minority but they yell the hardest so everyone has a skewed image of stoners because of the dumb ones.
It's not as big of a deal as people make it out to seem. I'd rather hang with a stoner than an alcoholic that's for sure. My father was an alcoholic he was a shitty dad my brother the man who raised me occasionally smokes pot for stress and insomnia. He's a great father who owns a successful company and has a beautiful wife and kids he doesn't hit his children for not getting him a beer fast enough so I stand with pot smokers.
I only use it to get high (the fact that it helps my headaches is a bonus), but I only argue the high benefits. There wouldn't be a Herion epidemic if people could just get high once and a while.
I believe a main reason marijuana had medical uses is that it increases hunger. Individuals undergoing chemotherapy tend to lose their appetites, which is not good for the human body. So they take medical marijuana to regain their apetites. At least, this is what my Psych teacher taught me
I know this is an old post, but long time smoker here, I also use it for its medical purposes not only to get high. Weed in my opinion is great, and while smoking it may be bad for you, it’s not nearly as harmful as cigarettes. But, you have to treat it like alcohol, don’t drive high, don’t operate machinery while high. And don’t make it your one main source of happiness. If you do, your headed down a dark path.
Same, I actually hate the people that give weed a bad rep because they only think of themselves and use it irresponsibly....although I currently live somewhere where it's not technically legal, I use it for my anxiety and depression and later on will move somewhere where I can get it medically but I'd love for it to be legal where I live but people who do it recreationally get on my nerves & are the reason some of us suffer
Your poor sister though
