no I also feel that way because of the horror stories I've heard of bike accidents and I don't want to be the cause of one so I gtfo as safely as I can.
True you have less protection than in a car, but a little common sense works almost as well as all the computers and airbags in cars today. That sense of freedom and self-reliance is probably the biggest reason we ride. We feel more in control of our lives instead of relying on the geeks that designed all the whizbang gizmos in our cars. Most of the motorcycle injuries do come from stupidity. I've been down before - because shit happens - but I do find myself occasionally rooting for the asphalt when I see some idiot kid being stupid on a rice rocket.

Bikes shouldride staggered and no more than 4 per grouping, leaving 2 car lengths between each group. But it's nice to ride in a pack, most days as a solo rider, or even with one friend, bikers are vulnerable and have to fight for our space in the road so it's nice to have some protection in numbers.
This happens every year in Hobart Tasmania, last year the highway was full for over 3 kms and nearly 10,000 bikes. Bikers of all types and all bikes come from all over the country to participate, its a fantastic event to bring toys for kids. Every year I see big burly bikers with teddy bears or fairies strapped to their handle bars on their way to the toy run.
Do you need a safe space because of the aggression you've suffered from this post, snowflake? Lol
