An entire military force does not decide to just set up randomly on the border of another country who isn't directly neighbouring them. Also preventing Russia from firing back is an offensive tactic not a defense tactic. Having missle defense systems on someones border implies that they intended to fire missles in the first place when there was and is no evidence to suggest that Russia is and will fire missles at any NATO country. The same man that predicted Brexit now predicts the fall of EU and with it NATO, why? Because they are both good systems (arguably) gone bad with people greedy for power and wanting to meddle in other country's affairs.
