This is kind of off topic, but I'm bringing it up anway so deal.
This makes me think of Time Lords and Humans, or specifically The Doctor and Rose Tyler. (Ship it or not he loved her, nothing to argue) See, he was always saying that she would die, and leave him all on his own, and that she would never understand what outliving someone would be like. But Humans do that all the time. For thousands of years we've had dogs, cats and everything in between. And they live like flies compaired to our life spans. And yet still, after thousands of years, we still have pets. We still bring these things into our lives and love them till the day they die. And the Doctor honestly doesn't seem to understand that living something/one while you can is so much more worthwhile than holding back for fear of pain.
Don't make the mistake of not loving someone because it won't last. Enjoy life while you can. Live a little, and accept a little sadness, rather than hold back and live forever with regret.
So you're saying that computers think? Micro organisms think? Technically you're not wrong- it's all the same thing. However in humans it is far, far more complex than in dogs, and the level of this that we typically refer to as thought is not something dogs are capable of.
But this was too fucking sad yet glorious all the same.
There we go
