A lot of what pop culture depicts as love is actually extreme dysfunction, boundary issues, and borderline-abusive behavior. We are trained to believe that if there is no drama (pain), it's not really love, so we go searching for passion and excitement, and when its destructive nature crushes the relationship, we start over. Rinse repeat. It's actually possible to have a mutually supportive relationship wherein two people love one another and the pain between them is pretty minimal and rare.
That's what he's saying...with love comes pain but it is not love that is causing that pain. It's the anger, envy, sadness, ect. causing pain.
To me that seems a bit obvious and his statement seems a bit silly.
Eh, maybe they're thinking that without loving someone you wouldn't feel that pain in the first place so ultimately love is the reason for that pain ??
I WILL find you.
And I will love you.
