Killing people in war is what you do, and if you kill a lot of people, that makes you a good soldier. But it doesn't make you a hero, or badass, or cool. It makes you a killer. And glorifying a sniper makes you an ignorant, unempathetic douche. Yes, it does. No, really, it does. I'm not making the rules, humanity does. I'm just serving the verdict,

No, I agree with you. As long as he didn't kill children,(but I don't know who he killed-perhaps you know more?) because the Russians have always wanted to take Finland, and they have never been very nice about it.
Considering Simo Hayha waged a war not of aggression but one to protect his country and it's citizens, I can't find fault in what he did. Yes he was a killer, one of the most lethal men on the planet, but he was not the aggressor. He was the underdog that rose up against an unwarranted invasion of his home.
That's terrible! The Germans were just trying to immigrate into his country, it's not their fault that the Finns had a law against that kind of immigration. This guy must be some sort of reactionary, not wanting to share his country's wealth with immigrants who want to come there and not assimilate but create the same culture as the country they are leaving.
Fun comment!? After that horrible story! We want to know how the man fared. Did he live and have a decent life?We hope he did so! He deserved it!Montero.
He lived to the ripe old age of 97 and died in April of 2002. Though he recovered from his wound, half of his face was permenantly paralyzed as a result.
