Why do people still use gay as an insult? I mean, I'm gay and proud. Homophobic behavior can just die already. It's 2017, people.

I'm gay and I use gay as an insult, I use just about anything as an insult. It just fun to say, I don't think it's because they are worried about being gay. I called my friend a stupid apricot. It's just something fun to say
when you compare someone to something else as an insult, it implies the thing you compared them to is bad and that's why its an insult for them to be compared to it (when its a genuine insult not joking like what you said with apricots).

It's not really an "insult" per say. It's just me joking around with my friends. I'm too socially awkward to actually oppose and argue with people. And if I did I would most likely not use gay as an insult, that wouldn't be cool
I was saying using gay as a genuine insult or to call something bad is hateful towards gay people. If you're just playfully calling your friends gay that's harmless, its not an insult.

I understand, I agree with you, I was just clarifying.
Good Lord, even German Satan is gay? What is the world coming to...
I guess this is the "slippery slope" that republitwits have been harping on for years.
I guess this is the "slippery slope" that republitwits have been harping on for years.
And what slippery slope? People actually being open about their sexuality? Oh dear lord, the humanity!
Next time I'll try much harder, to not do the gay
