Not necessarily good. I realise this'll make me seem like the bad guy (and probably earn me thumbdowns), but it may have been her fault she was in debt in the first place

No offense intended just another view. Back then women didn't work. And if she was a widow she prolly just didn't have any income....In our day and age NOW it's prolly the woman's fault but I'm guessing not so much back then.
