But what's so wrong about her having a twitter account? She seems well read and she just wants to speak out against what she's seen.

Probably made by an adult, using things the girl has said and then spell checked

Her mother helps her tweet. And it was verified after something happened some months ago when people raised an absolute shitstorm about how it wasn't real. I think someone hacked into the account as well at that point (while the girl and her family feared for their lives every day), but I can't say for sure.
