No it is not hard there is an off switch and a mute button on every t.v and you don't have to read it in papers and by "you guys" you mean Americans? I am British not American
"You guys". Like it is the fault of the entire nation, and every citizen has been blamed for things they either A) don't even know is happening or B) have no control over it.
Turn your TV and radio to content central to your own country then. If nothing going on there is interesting enough for them to cover, how is that our fault?
People like talking about America. The USA is the celebrity tabloid gossip of the world, or a convenient scapegoat for any problems. Russia and China are both huge countries with similar histories who love war, human rights violations, corruption, and screwing the world over for their gain. Americans are loud though so you hear about it more. For over a decade Russia has been trying to control the natural gas supply to the EU and Britain. Russia has been working to reclaim former USSR territory through military action since at least the 90's. The news is full of American internal policy, and everyone knows the presidents name- but how many Americans know foreign heads of state other than Putin and MAYBE the British PM? They only know Trudeau because he was "cute." Most Americans don't want anything to do with the world. As always blame politicians and those looking for headlines. No country has their shit together completely, I doubt any ever will.
