What happens if a Hispanic MTF transgender lectures a black woman on culture appropriation while the black woman lectures an asian male on racism while the Asian male assumes the Hispanic's gender?
It makes it better when you realize they interviewed Japanese citizens of the city after they got rid of the event and they said they were sad and wanted it back so people could appreciate it ( not appropriate, I know they sound similar SJWs but they aren't the same word )
In the real world it's when you take something from another religion or culture and act like it's a brand new thing you just found/made up. In fantasy land ( where the SJWs are ) it's white people doing anything not white. Though you do see some other races get called out for doing something " appropriative " you mainly see it used to harass white people for being " racist "
Okay, thanks, I understood it in the SJW way, the real way does seem like a pretty annoying thing, but all in all still not something to make a big deal about
So ... Does this mean because I'm a ginger and was mocked for my freckles all my life I get to harass people because they're a fashion trend ? Now I don't need therapy to get my frustration out ! Hooray !
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE ! Do I also get to use any mental illnesses to make any harrasment I put out something no one should be able to argue with without being a shitlord ?
Japanese culture is traditionally isolationist and xenophobic. Japan has no laws against hate speech, few if any laws against discrimination, and things like jobs, loans, housing, and even citizenship are determined by blood above all else. They do not speak openly about many things and racism is one. Despite the strong racial tensions and divides in Japan, their national dialog is largely silent on the issue; although one of the former PM's top brass is on record suggesting an apartheid system for non "purebloods" and foreigners. Black face and nazi themed fashion aren't rampant but don't carry any of the controversy they would in the west. So yeah- the principal of SJW's getting offended for someone else is outrageous, but in context does it change anything if the group in question has no real social concept of cultural sensitivity?
No, it's doesn't change at all. People have different levels of handling things. Just because they don't get angry when people say things other nations would scream at doesn't mean others have to get mad for them, because obviously they don't see an issue with it.
It's like if I wore something different and people didn't like it, so they said some things. If I don't mind people don't have to " come to my rescue " because there's not an issue.
If someone doesn't feel offended, you don't have to say that they should and do it for them because it wasn't an issue until you made it one.
Im not saying they are right to get involved, I'm saying it's oversimplistic. To use your modified example, if you went outside and were black, some people said some things. Maybe some people refused to let you eat or shop certain places etc. No one else needs to speak up and say it is wrong. Obviously if you had a problem you would stop them right? If your partner drinks and beats you, forces you to have sex, doesn't let you work or have friends- but you tell your family you love them and are happy, they should leave you be. It's your choice, there's no problem. Your spouse is happy, you are happy, you'd leave if you wanted right? So where's the line between forcing your views on others, and standing up against wrong? If all evil takes is for the good to stand and do nothing, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions?
Never go full retard.
