A week ago I finished off a pre-made campaign, and with the help of our rogue absolutely ruined the lead-in to the real thing (this campaign was the first for most of us, myself included). There was a necromancer that was meant to make it to the other side of the room, become a lich and do something that'd lead to a multi-century time skip, but the rogue got a crit on his backstab and did a whole heap of damage, and then I finished him off with non-crit 12 damage from my battleaxe.
Man, that's some Old Man Henderson level shit right there.
Now, I don't remember the story exactly, it's been a while since I read it last. If you don't who Old Man Henderson is, the best comparative summary for him I can think of is that he's the guy that could punch Cthullu. In the face, live and get away with it.
