That's why I hate modern art. It's nothing more than pretending and overinterpreting. For me, real art is when you can see the artist's talent and the hours and hours of work he put in by just looking at his work.
Art is subjective, why paint photo realism when we have cameras now. Art is merely a reflection of our society and it's values. Contemporary art is nothing more than artists exploring any medium they choose to express and feeling they choose. Modern art is much more personal than it used to be.
Despite a very reasonable price that is not a good pick for a pineapple. As the leaves grow they use up the sugar in the body. To get a truly sweet and delicious pineapple you should always go for a large body and smaller sprout on top. This is probably the underlying subtle message of the art that the man was trying to convey: that while looking perfect to the lay observer, one with deeper knowledge can see the potential that just isn't reached and how the superficial value of the low cost is stolen away by the missing quality.
